This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity. Contracted hours depend on referrals, client needs, availability, authorization, and performance; hours are not guaranteed. This role does not include employee benefits. The contractor is responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, and maintaining required credentials.

Help youth and families coordinate behavioral health care, school supports, community resources, and practical next steps. This role combines relationship-building, accurate documentation, advocacy, and dependable follow-through.

What you will do

• Build respectful, strengths-based partnerships with youth and caregivers.
• Coordinate services with families, schools, providers, and community partners with proper authorization.
• Complete assessments, service planning, case management, skills support, referrals, monitoring, and follow-up within the assigned role.
• Provide services in homes, schools, offices, and community settings.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and follow agency, payer, privacy, safety, and supervision requirements.
• Respond appropriately to safety concerns and participate in crisis and continuity planning.

Minimum qualifications

• Must meet current Texas requirements to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional–Community Services before providing independent QMHP-CS services.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and the education or documented behavioral-health experience required for QMHP-CS qualification.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, caregivers, behavioral health, schools, child welfare, juvenile justice, or community services is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, professional boundaries, and documentation skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to complete required background, exclusion, credential, and driving checks applicable to the position.
